Lordship of the Plains

The most traditional wine from Valdepeñas

A wine with elegance

LORDSHIP OF THE PLAINS

Valdepeñas is one of the most important known population centers largely linked to monoculture vines, and this is due to a set of characteristics and properties that make it a unique area favorable for the cultivation of quality vineyards.

VALDEPEÑAS

Valdepeñas is the perfect setting for producing the finest red wines with a traditional profile and superior quality.
It is located in the southern half of the central plateau, where the climate is hot and the soils are clayey, although with rocky contributions, as its name indicates.
The well-known custom of aging wines in barrels is especially important in this region, where the vines are cultivated to produce a ripe fruit profile very similar to the wood. Spain's dominant variety, Tempranillo, is perfectly adapted to this terroir, producing ripe, rounded, and structured wines.

Los Llanos Winery

The Los Llanos de Valdepeñas Winery dates back to 1875, its original location now houses one of Spain's most prestigious museums. The winery is equipped with the most advanced oenological techniques to produce, age, and bottle high-quality wines. The wineries boast one of the largest underground cellars in the country, with a capacity for 30,000 barrels. The characteristics of the soil, along with a dry, sunny climate, contribute decisively to the grape's optimal development and ripeness.
