MAYOR DE CASTILLA
Viña Arnáiz, the winery and vineyards where Mayor de Castilla is produced, are located in the municipality of Haza. It is a strategic enclave, covering 80 hectares within the La Magdalena estate, which is home to vineyards on gentle slopes where we grow the traditional Tinta del País grape, alongside new varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The harvest, transfer and fermentation take place slowly, with care and allowing time for the full potential to be transferred. Contact with the skins lasts for more than 30 days, the decanting is done by gravity, without pressure, and every drop that flows is squeezed out, transferring the desired expression.
Bodega Ribera del Duero
In 2000, the García-Carrión family acquired the Viña Arnáiz winery, an old villa dating back to 1860, where they began producing Ribera del Duero wines. The Tempranillo grape, also known in the region as Tinta del País or Tinto Fino, is our main variety, giving the red wines of Ribera del Duero their characteristic color, aroma, and body.
