MAYOR OF CASTILE
Viña Arnáiz, the winery and vineyards where Mayor de Castilla is produced, are located in the municipality of Haza. It is a strategic enclave, covering 80 hectares within the La Magdalena estate, which includes plots of vines on gentle slopes where we grow the traditional Tinta del País wine, alongside new varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The harvest, transfer, and fermentation proceed slowly, with care, allowing time for the full potential to be transferred. The skins remain in contact for over 30 days; the process is carried out by gravity, without pressure, and every drop that flows is extracted, conveying the desired expression.
Ribera del Duero Winery
In 2000, the García-Carrión family acquired the Viña Arnáiz winery, an old villa dating back to 1860, where they began producing Ribera del Duero wines. The Tempranillo grape, also known in the region as Tinta del País or Tinto Fino, is our main variety, giving the Ribera del Duero red wines their characteristic color, aroma, and body.
