Our Plants

Huelva plant

This Don Simón plant is unique, innovative, and an international pioneer, surrounded by millions of orange trees in a privileged area of Andalusia: Huelva. To obtain the best juice, it is essential that the oranges be picked at their peak ripeness and, most importantly, that they be squeezed fresh from the tree within 24 hours so that none of their properties are lost. In addition to our 1,500 hectares of our own orange groves, at Don Simón we have long-term contracts with local farmers that guarantee the fidelity and quality of our raw materials. At our plant, we are committed to organic farming and maintain a firm commitment to the environment, using fruit free from phytosanitary treatments. The plant has a triple environmental objective: Zero waste, Zero net water consumption, and Zero polluting emissions. Furthermore, within our estate, we have a 250-hectare nature reserve to respect the natural habitat of the great bustard, a steppe bird listed as endangered. Quality and technological development define not only this plant, but the entire Don Simón brand: an international benchmark for how a family business has managed to sell millions of dollars' worth of Spanish juice around the world.

Almería Plant

Known as the garden of Europe, our plant for producing refrigerated organic freshly squeezed juice, gazpachos, creams, and broths, all 100% natural products under the Don Simón and La Huerta Don Simón brands, has been located in Almería since 1999. The plant is equipped with the latest technology in facilities measuring over 15,000 m2 on an 80,000 m2 plot. In this area, García Carrión purchases the produce from 1,200 hectares owned by over 850 farmers, with whom we have long-term agreements. The plant has eight aseptic packaging lines and a processing capacity of over 120,000 tons of fruit and vegetables per year. At our plant in Almería, we have implemented innovative solutions to safeguard the environmental aspects of Sustainable Development (water management, use of fuels with less polluting emissions such as natural gas, waste management, etc.). The use and optimization of water consumption, a highly valued resource in the area, is one of our achievements in reducing environmental impact through the treatment and reuse of wastewater.

Jumilla plant

The Jumilla plant was built in the early 1970s, when Bodega 1890, located in the town center since its founding, was moved to the outskirts of Jumilla. The first high-speed bottling line (18,000 bottles/hour) was installed there, and the "Castillo San Simón" brand was born there in 1945, a wine from the family vineyards. It was also the origin, in the 1980s, of Don Simón wine, and later, in the 1990s, of the juices, musts, and sangrias, also under the same brand. In 1995, a plant was built for the production of refrigerated freshly squeezed juices and Don Simón gazpacho.

Segorbe Plant

This plant is located in the strategic enclave of Segorbe, near the port of Valencia. Since García Carrión's arrival in Segorbe in 2017, we have increased production capacity to 350 million liters per year, with a highly ambitious project that has become a reality: to be the leader in value and volume in juices, gazpachos, smoothies, and plant-based drinks. Currently, the Segorbe plant has nine heat treatment lines and twelve automated packaging lines. It has the capacity to fully produce tiger nut horchata and other blended drinks such as oat, rice, and almond. It has a world-leading plan: to coordinate the entire production process with full traceability and maximum safety.

Daimiel Plant

Our large winery and juice plant, as well as the García-Carrión logistics center, are located in La Mancha (Daimiel), the world's largest vineyard. These facilities boast Europe's most modern packaging technology and automation, with fully automated industrial facilities covering over 120,000 m2 and capable of storing 75,000 pallets. For wines, we have our Global Winery, equipped to produce La Mancha DO wines, Vino de la Tierra wines, and all types of specialty wines packaged aseptically (low-alcohol wines, sparkling wines, summer reds, sangria, etc.), with a production capacity of 225 million liters. For juices, with twenty aseptic packaging lines, the Daimiel plant produces over 600 million units per year, in all market-demand formats. The Daimiel plant also serves as García Carrión's global logistics center, with a daily turnover of more than 250,000 boxes, making it the largest invoicing plant in Castilla-La Mancha.
